About the job Job Summary: The Market Analyst will be responsible for the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data to evaluate existing and potential product and service markets within the beauty industry. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the US beauty market dynamics and consumer trends. They will also be instrumental in providing insights that will guide our strategic planning and business development. Principal Accountabilities: Market Intelligence : Collect and analyze data on consumer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand. Competitive Analysis : Monitor and analyze competitor pricing, sales, marketing, and distribution methods. Trend Analysis : Identify and analyze industry trends, including new product categories and advancements in beauty technology. Reporting : Prepare comprehensive reports, including market research findings, analysis, and recommendations to the executive team. Strategic Support : Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development teams to execute company strategies based on market research findings. Forecasting : Develop and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys, questionnaires, or opinion polls. Interpret and forecast market trends. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with various departments to implement market research findings into product design, marketing strategies, and business development plans Key Experience and Skills: Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in market analysis or a similar role within the beauty industry in the United States, with a successful track record of actionable market research. Analytical Skills: Demonstrated capability in handling complex data sets and providing actionable insights. Communication Skills: Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex data in a coherent and concise manner. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in market research tools and methodologies, as well as advanced proficiency in MS Office and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS). Strategic Thinking: Able to think strategically and translate insights into potential business outcomes. Knowledge of Beauty Industry: Up-to-date with the latest beauty industry trends, consumer behaviors, and regulatory environment in the US. Education : Bachelor's degree in market research, statistics, or related field. A Master's degree would be an advantage. Teamwork : Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
