Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Tax Accountant II to join our team. In this role, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive tax services to our clients, including tax planning, preparation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering superior client service. Responsibilities: Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with accuracy and efficiency. Conduct in-depth tax research and analysis to address complex tax issues and optimize tax outcomes for clients. Assist clients with tax planning strategies, including entity structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and tax credits and incentives. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information, resolve tax-related issues, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members, including reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback. Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate relevant updates to clients and colleagues. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on complex tax matters. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx Tax, Lacerte) and MS Office Suite. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues at all levels. Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
