The Excalibur Group is currently seeking a Accounting Data Analyst in Washington, DC to support a local contract. **Will be subject to a background check prior to employment. SUMMARY The Finance and Accounting Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the annual financial monitoring, analysis, reporting, and administrative functions of the assessment processes, which shall consist of helping the following tasks. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Knowledge of introductory statistical, accounting, budget, and economic principles and techniques. Skill in applying complex fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving methods and techniques to identify interrelated program problems, draw conclusions, and recommend appropriate action or solutions to improve program efficiency and effectiveness. Ongoing review/verification of the suppliers via an electronic docketing system, eDocket, and the assessment portal in preparation for the annual mandatory assessment survey distribution and review process. In addition to pulling data from each supplier’s annual Survey received via the Assessment Portal to create reports, perform queries, and assist with the yearly calculation worksheets used to review, confirm, and determine the final annual calculations for the companies to be assessed annually. Maintain and update various spreadsheets by utilizing eDocket to track all updates and changes of revenue, staff, contact information, etc., submitted by companies. High-level skills in oral and written communications to prepare letters, emails, reports, charts, and graphs in Microsoft Word. Plans, develops and conducts program analyses of substantial scale and impact concerning all aspects of current or projected operating programs for actual or potential effectiveness in achieving planned goals and objectives. Assist with updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets. Assist with reviewing all relevant data and calculations listed in the Assessment Surveys, Notices of Proposed Assessments, etc., to ensure the information in the Excel spreadsheet is current and accurate. Maintain and update various spreadsheets by utilizing the eDocket to track all updates and changes of revenue, staff, contact information, etc., submitted by companies. Create various databases to track specific data. Perform various database queries to identify specific data and make calculations. Ability to analyze data and any assignment for errors or inaccuracies. Provide administrative support as needed. REQUIREMENTS Must have high-level skills in accounting and financial management. Must have good oral and written communications to prepare letters, emails, reports, charts, and graphs in Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Create word documents, presentations, financial spreadsheets, managing financial spreadsheets database files, including merging, importing, and exporting. Experience calculating and publishing. Ability to analyze data and any given assignment for errors or advanced features in Microsoft Word to create word documents, presentations, spreadsheets, database files, including merging, importing, and exporting, calculating and publishing.
